Looking for a new project for a few hours a week? GFS Jill could *really* use some help in the Reunion Center. Drop her a line to find out the details.

GFS Morgan has big news too! Here is his announcement:

It is with great pleasure that we announce that George Morgan's "Along Those Lines ..." column, which got its start here in the Genealogy Forum two years ago, will become an exclusive feature at the Ancestry.com Web site as of January 1, 2000. George's column has become immensely popular with a worldwide audience, and this change will significantly expand his readership as Ancestry.com extends its reach onto America Online, CompuServe and elsewhere.

Don't worry, though --- George isn't leaving us. He will continue as a member of the Community Leader team here in the forum, will manage the content of the Resource Center and, along with Candy (GFS TAZ), will continue to coordinate the promotions that change daily on the Feature Button in the upper right corner of the forum's main screen on AOL. The archive of his column also will continue to be housed in the forum on AOL.

This is a very positive move for George and for the "Along Those Lines ..." column, and we wish him continued success in his journalistic and authorship endeavors . And make sure you add a bookmark for http://www.ancestry.com/columns/george/index.htm so you don't miss a single installment of George's column every Friday at the Ancestry.com Web site!

Got your thinking caps on? We're looking for ways to better our chat chat rooms. What do you think will do it? Topics? Hints? Lectures? Facts? Send your suggestions!

The quote this month is from A Gentleman's Guide to Toasting and is a wonderful thought for the new year. Enjoy!

Judy

Shank of the Evening
Cool breeze,
Warm fire,
Full moon,
Empty plates,
Soft words,
Sweet songs,
Tall tales,
Short sips,
Long life.

- John Egerton
