I want tell y'all about the forgotten SIG. A place where Cowboys, Ranchers, Miners and even the occasional Redneck roam. We call it the Wild and Woolly West. This get together happens every Monday night at 11 PM EST in the Ancestral Digschat room. Let me introduce the cast of characters that haunt this SIG. First there is Sheriff Lee, played by GFS LEE, a hare tempered old timer with a tendency to sneak into the Saspiralla.
Next we have the Piano Player, played by GFS LONI, a heart of gold but no musical talent at all. Then of course is our official Dancing Girl, played by GFS CAROL, a dangerous woman with a shady past that has been known to carry a hideout pistol. Just one more, our town drunk and Ner do well played by GFS WAFFLE. The bar is tended by Clementinethe Genealogical Inspired Moose.
In the Wild and Woolly West we try to rustle up some western ancestors and cuzzies. The West consists of Texas, New Mexico, California, Washington State, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Alaska, Hawaii, Nebraska, Kansas, Nevada, Oklahoma and Arizona.
Now, much like in the old west, things at times get a little uncontrolled in our Wild and Woolly West. Wanted Posters show up, there are occasional shoot outs and Clementine has been known to bite. We have very few rules:
(1) Leave the Horses outside they scare the Moose
(2) Check your guns with the Sheriff and
(3) Please don't shoot the Piano Player.
I will admit we cut up a lot (Don't tell the Bosses) and have fun but we do try to get a lot of Genealogical work done. So if you have any kind of Western Roots please drop by and visit us. The Chile and Nachos are free.
