INTERNET FOR GENEALOGISTS

The URL below is for a search engine in beta testing that searches USGenWeb Archives. Put
in your surname of choice and be surprised at all the hits you get returned! I guess it
would search any word -- not just surnames.

It's in beta testing right now......I tried it a little earlier and got a lot of hits for
Dent.
Thought you might want to give it a try.
I haven't had time to search all this page, but it has a lot of links on it. Wow! Would
keep anyone busy and out of trouble for a long time! One link I found was wrong, but I was
given this in IM. Not sure what the home page is.

MYRT'S NOTE: I checked out this web site on Acadian's suggestion, and found all the links
work correctly at this time. Carol told me she spent over an hour going through the links,
and found them most helpful.
Today's url is a brand new website.
The Emigrant Ship Lists Transcribers Guild
http://iigs.rootsweb.com/immships/index1.html
This ambitious project has 200 volunteers transcribing ships lists from NARA to put online
for free. There are presently 75 lists transcribed and many more links with transcribed
lists already online at various genealogy websites which are being collected and organized
on this site. This is a noteworthy list as it brings The Genealogy Community together to
promote free and easy access to sources for genealogists.
The Genealogy Help Network http://ghn.genealogy.org
has 'donated' a link to our transcribed passenger list The" ERIN 1813, with several
more not online as yet. Please pass this along to another mailing list so that others
might learn of this great undertaking!

Dear Researchers,
I am pleased to announce Moravian Church Genealogy Links at
http://www.enter.net/~smschlack
The Moravian Church is the oldest Protestant denomination, begun in Europe in 1457. Today,
the church is world-wide, with provinces centered in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. This
site attempts to link Moravian records, genealogies, archives,
historical societies, museums and references.
The newest addition is a list of over 400 Moravian surnames from Bohemia, Moravian,
Poland, Germany and England (to name a few). I would love to help you make your Moravian
connection!

NOTE: AATwins94@aol.com recently subscribed to the free Saxony Germany genealogy mail
list. The mail robot called "Marordomo@genweb.net" which handles this list
returned the following welcome message as an acknowledgment of the subscription request.
