You are currently subscribed in "mail mode" or "digest mode", which means that for each posting made to listname@genweb.net you will be sent one message for each or all of one days messages in digest mode in one message for the list you have joined.

1. Send your postings to the listname@genweb.net
as in ontario@genweb.net

2. How to unsubscribe. Send a message to
majordomo@genweb.net
that contains (in the body of the message)as in the command
unsubscribe ontario
and no additional text.

3. How to subscribe. Whatever you just did worked, or you'd not be getting this message. But for future reference (for instance,
if your subscription is canceled for whatever reason and you want to resubscribe), just send the command "subscribe list name" as in "subscribe ontario" to majordomo@genweb.net

4. How to change to digest mode (which means that several postings made to the list will be consolidated together and sent to you as a single large message). There are two steps. First, send the command discontinue mail mode. Second, send the command
"subscribe list name-digest" as in "subscribe ontario-digest" to "majordomo@genweb.net" to start receiving digest mode
messages.

5. How to change to NOMAIL mode. There is no formal NOMAIL mode. All you have to do is follow the directions above and unsubscribe when you want the messages to stop, and then when you want them to start again, simply subscribe again.
