Family Tree Maker Version 5.0 Released

Broderbund has announced the release of of the new 5.0 Version of Family Tree Maker. This version is compatible with both Windows95 and Windows98. Some of the new features included are:
Hourglass Trees - You can create a chart showing both Ancestors and Descendants in one tree.
Timelines
Color-coded Trees
Custom Report Sorting
Research Journal/To Do List
Unlimited Number of Facts (or Events)
Record Alternate Versions of Facts - No need to ignore conflicting evidence...now you can record both versions.

Adding a Bookstore to Your Genealogy Web Pages

Wanting to make a little bit of money from your site? I have one possible solution for you. This may not make you rich, but it may help pay your costs for AOL or your local ISP (Internet Service Provider).
How about putting a bookstore on your site? You're saying to yourself, "I don't know that much about web pages...how could I do something like that?". That's what I'm going to tell you.
Some of the biggest online booksellers have systems set up where you can put links and logos on your web pages recommending books and software. If somebody buys something as a result of that link, you get a commission. It's that simple.
