Minnesota Court Records
1849 - present: District courts were established in each county. They have jurisdiction over all criminal and civil cases. The clerk of the district court has indexes of plaintiffs and defendants.
1800's - present: Municipal and judicial courts in local cities and towns have jurisdiction over misdemeanor cases. Most municipal courts merged into the county probate courts.
