The picture of this lock was passed on from a person whose ancestor had been bound with this lock.  Often to think of chains and locks brings a feeling of sadness and thoughts of pain and suffering.  Looking at this lock makes that pain and suffering and the "knowledge" of bondage stronger.  Can you feel the pain?
