Dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the history of Hope Township and the Town of Port Hope. The Society operates a museum known as Dorothy's House Museum where it collects and exhibits artifacts and archival material.

- Head-of-the-Lake Historical Society (Hamilton)
The City of Hamilton was a little over seventy years old when the Wentworth Historical Society was formed in January 1889 to promote study into and publicise the “history, archaeology…and genealogy” of the area around the City of Hamilton, at the western end of Lake Ontario, known as the Head-of-the-Lake. By 1944 it was felt that the time had come for the formation of a new historical group in the area. On March 22, 1944, twenty interested citizens adopted the constitution, selected the name “The Head-of-the-Lake Historical Society”, and confirmed the executive.
- Historical Society of St. Boniface and Maryhill Community
St. Boniface Church celebrated its 100th Anniversary on September 11, 1977. At this time a committee was formed to organize celebrations. It is out of this committee that the Historical Society of St. Boniface and Maryhill Community was formed. Today our membership is made up of those who have a deep affection for unravelling the mysteries of the past and of those who have ancestral roots in the Parish and Community.
