- Antigonish Heritage Museum (Nova Scotia) The purpose of The Antigonish Heritage Museum is to promote and preserve a cultural understanding of four heritage within the Town and County of Antigonish. They also preserve historical records and documents.
- Bruce County Museum and Archives (Ontario) The museum houses six themed galleries filled with dynamic displays depicting Bruce County’s evolvement from prehistoric times, through aboriginal history, the first European settlers, military, marine and agricultural influences on the structure of Bruce County’s society.
- Canadian War Museum The Canadian War Museum's purpose is dedicated to both education and remembrance.
- Colchester Historical Museum and Archives (Nova Scotia) The Colchester Historical Museum houses one of the largest non-government archives in the province with an extensive collection of published and unpublished genealogical material as well as microfilms of census, vital statistics, and church records.
- Dufferin County Museum and Archives (Ontario) The D.C.M.A. offers a reference Archives, indexed for easy use to assist in heritage & family research.
- Highland Village - Living History Museum & Cultural Centre (Nova Scotia) The Highland Village presents a chronological tour of 180 years of Scottish settlement in the Province. For genealogy buffs, consult Roots Cape Breton, the computer assisted genealogical and family history centre for those in search of their Cape Breton ancestry.
- Lake of the Woods Museum (Kenora, Ontario) The museum houses a collection of over 15,000 artifacts which reflect the area's unique history and character.
- Lennox and Addington County Museum and Archives (Napanee, Ontario) Documents and artifacts related to Adolphustown, Amherst Island, Bath, Camden, Denbigh, Ernestown, Fredericksburgh, Kaladar, Napanee, Newburgh, Richmond, Sheffield, Loyalist Township, Stone Mills, Greater Napanee, Addington Highlands.
- Macaulay Heritage Park Museum (Picton, Ontario) Macaulay Heritage Park is a complex featuring many points of interest: Macaulay House built in 1830 and restored to the 1850's; The Old Church of St. Mary Magdalene which houses exhibits showing the County from its beginnings to near present; The St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery recently restored and including Macaulay family plot; Historic Gardens and a soon to be raised Carriage House.
- Norfolk Historical Society - Eva Brook Donly Museum (Simcoe, Ontario) Thousands of early Norfolk County documents, newspapers, photographs, books and records of every sort. Microfilms and other audio-visual materials. Records for tracing local history, heritage architecture and antiques. Extensive records of old Norfolk County family genealogies. Marriages, cemeteries, newspapers, land records, censuses, vital statistics, church registers and much more. One of Ontario's finest and largest collections of books and microfilms for genealogy in old Ontario, Canada and early America. The "Loyalist Library" is supported by the Grand River Branch of the United Empire Loyalists.
- North Bay Area Museum (North Bay, Ontario) The Museum features a wide range of exhibits on local history as well as special exhibitions from the Royal Ontario Museum and other national and provincial museums.
- The Nova Scotia Museum The Nova Scotia Museum is the corporate name for the most decentralized museum in Canada - 25 museums across the province, including historic buildings, living history sites, vessels and specialized museums.
- Old Kings Courthouse Museum (Kentville, Nova Scotia) The largest and most comprehensive genealogical archives in Kings County, Nova Scotia is housed at the Old Kings Courthouse Museum.
- Peterborough Centennial Museum & Archives (Ontario) Search the holdings of the Peterborough Archives, find out about how the Archives can serve your research needs, learn more about the Roy Studio photographic collection and much more.
- Parkdale Maplewood Community Museum (Barss Corner, Nova Scotia) The library includes books of all types, family and community histories, school registers, and funeral records. Some family histories available are "Berghaus" (Barkhouse), "Rafuse", "Langille", "Wentzell" and "Corkum". The collection includes displays representing a country store, general farming and forestry artifacts, early milk processing equipment and household furnishings with an extensive textile collection.
- Queens County Museum and Thomas H. Raddall Research Centre (Liverpool, Nova Scotia) Genealogies of over 1500 Queens County names, 500 surname files, Queens County Marriage Licenses 1849 - 1910, Queens County Cemetery Records and Census Record 1871, 1881, 1891 and County Newspaper 1857 - 1971. Examine over 3000 photographs, over 100 Queens County Maps, and numerous Daybooks and Ledgers, also search the shipping records, land grants and deeds and more.
- Uxbridge-Scott Museum (Ontario) The Uxbridge-Scott Museum has included an archives for local genealogy and history since it began in 1972. It relates to the Uxbridge-Scott area (the former Uxbridge township, Scott township and Uxbridge Town), and somewhat to bordering townships. Some excellent resources online.
- Yarmouth County Museum and Archives (Nova Scotia) The largest non institutional archives in the Province is located in the museum's research library. Research materials include: birth records, marriage records, death records, funeral records, census records, deeds, extensive newspaper & photograph collections, manuscripts, compiled genealogies, and more.
