Kansas Fried Green Tomatoes

Green tomatoes, sliced about 1/4" thick.
Beat together one egg and about 1/4 cup milk
dip slices in this and roll in flour seasoned with salt and pepper,
Fry in hot oil until brown and enjoy!!My Mom made them this way--they're delicious. Works good for egg plant and summer squash too.
