Bell Pepper Relish
Submitted by: lawkmorris@aol.com
Ingredients:
12 red bell peppers
12 green bell peppers
12 medium onions
2 cups white vinegar
2 cups sugar
3 tbsp salt
Preparation:
Grind or chop very small peppers and onions. Cover with boiling water, let stand about 10 minutes. Drain off water, very good in a colander. Add vinegar, salt, sugar. Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes. Put in jars and seal while very hot.
This was my grandmothers recipe and has been used by our family for years. It tastes like a sweet pickle relish. Please let me know if you try it and how you liked it.
