This is the result of my family research over this past 2 years. During the past 6 months I have hosted an email discussion group called RAGAN-ROOTS. Discussion covers all the various spellings of RAGAN including:
RAGAIN * RAGAN * RAGIN * RAYGAN * REAGAN * REGAN * REGEN * RIAGAN * RIAGAIN * RIGAN * RIGGAN * RIGGIN * RAGON * RIGGEN (As well as other variations)
Discussion is also open to the Irish forms of the surname such as:
O'RAGAN * O'RAGAIN * O'REAGAN * O'REGAN * O'REGANE * O'RIAGAN * O'RIAGAIN * O'RIEGAINE ... etc.
This file contains information on over 8,000 persons (primarily RAGAN/REAGAN/RAGIN ... etc.). It is a GEDCOM and can be imported by most genealogy programs. It was created using Reunion 4 software (a program I LOVE) running on a Mac clone (Radius 81/110). The file was exported from my database in the Ancestral file format for WINDOWS, so it should be usable by both IBM compats & Macs.
The GEDCOM was compressed using ZIPIT (for Mac). You will need an UNZIP type of software to expand it.
The GEDCOM will expand to around 2.5 MB in size. Once imported into Reunion it takes nearly 10MB of disk space (on my computer).
There are several Ragan, Reagan, Ragin ... etc. families included that I've picked up during my research that, so far, don't seem to fit into my family branches (yet).
