This is a GEDCOM file containing years of work mainly on the Mann family. John Mann (SC), Robert Mann, Sr.(SC>GA), Robert Mann, Jr. (GA)
The patriarch of this family came from Ireland in 1700's, arriving in SC. The family migrated to GA, TN, AL and some modern day descendents to TX. Most information on the original Mann family came from Dr. Andrew J. Mann who died in 1926. His descendents carried the torch and have carried on the research to present day.
Other related families include the Townleys of Gwinnett & Newton Co. GA, the Rogers from Newton Co and the Dials from SC>Walton Co. GA, the Wells from Newton Co. GA, the Olivers from Newton Co. GA.
Several family members remain a mystery including the family of Mary Akins (b. 1795 SC>GA), Polly Buchannon (b. abt 1750 SC), Mary Jane Martin (b. 1840 SC>married in Cherokee Co GA, Nancy or Susan Harris (b. abt 1820 GA?).
Actively looking for descendents of John Mann (b. 1875 d. in Macon GA). Known children, Elsie (married name Ringer), Eva, Janello, Ena and possibly Euba).
Any connections, please e-mail.
