This file is an update of a file originally uploaded July 27, 1995. It contains 3,052 descendants (and spouses) of John Copeland, who was born in Dolphin Leigh, England in 1616. Special emphasis is placed on the descendants of Richard Todd Copeland, who was born in South Carolina in 1815, came to Lincoln County, Tennessee in 1825 with his parents, and trekked westward to Corinth, Arkansas in the 1840's. His descendants later moved to Texas and points west. The descendants of some of Richard's siblings are also listed. Other surnames found in abundance in the file are: Jones, Watson, Crabtree, Campbell, Cox, White, Adrian, Crawford, Wright and Crowson.
