This is primarily the results of my research project on the Rifenbark family, descendants of George Rifenbark, born 1780 in New York state. I have since learned that George is a descendant of Johann Jurg Rifenburg of the Palatine emigration of 1710. This is my wife's mother's side of the family, as is Hickerson, of Virginia. Powell and Pool are both on my wife's father's side, and they have their roots in eastern North Carolina, Pasquotank and Bertie Counties.

I have further info about Rifenbark family, as well as contacts on Rifenburg families.
