This GEDCOM file is of the known descendants of William and Grace Hammock who lived in Richmond Co., VA in the 1600s. William died there is 1702. Also included are related famlies, Claughton, Morgan and Lambert. Additionally, the Jackson family of Sussex, Surry, Amelia and Nottoway Cos., VA.

Robert Hammock, b. 1737, Richmond Co., VA, son of Robert Hammock and Anne Lambert, married Milenor Jackson, dau of Edward Jackson and Lucy Parrish of Amelia Co., VA. They later removed to Wilkes Co., GA and their descendants spread throughout Georgia and the Southeast.
