She died of heart failure, at a nursing home in Jamestown, 1 CONC OH after wasting away with Alzheimer Disease. When living with her parents Susanna lived at Alte Kaserne (old 1 CONC military base) Block 5. After WWII Schlesien became part of Poland and 1 CONC Brieg is now called Brzeg. Breslau is now called Wroclaw. Brieg was 1 CONC located on the west bank of the Oder River, approx 30 miles SE of Breslau. 1 CONT 1 CONT Her address on 7/6/54 was Bayreuth, Germany, Rosenau Nr. 3. Her religion 1 CONC was Evangelischer, or Lutheran. On September 20, 1954, she left 1 CONC Rotterdam, Holland, via boat, to live with her daughter, Ingeborg 1 CONC Crites. She arrived at the Port of New York on September 29, 1954 then 1 CONC proceeded by train to her daughter in Columbus, GA arriving on September 1 CONC 30, 1954. It was a payment by the German Government 1 CONC to people who lost their belongings during the war. She received a total 1 CONC of 1,000 DM. 1 CONT 1 CONT In order to prove her claim for a German pension, since her work records 1 CONC were destroyed, she had to offer affidavits from people who knew her in 1 CONC Brieg and could vouch for her.
