John Alston Eaton was born in Lauderdale Co., Mississippi (1880-1890), moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama and married Carrie who was a descendent of the "Black Warrior" indian group that Tuscaloosa grew from. They had 4 children: John, Otis, and two daughters. One daughter married into the Davis family and produced a child named Otis Davis who won an Olympic Gold Medal for the 800 meter run.
