And 1 CONC Grandfather had to produce the family food from the farm, and make the 1 CONC shoes, right from the cowhide; tan the leather himself in a home made 1 CONC kiln. 1 CONT Ague was one of the diseases that plagued the pioneers, even in my 1 CONC boyhood, and I can well remember the one bout I had with it; Grand Mother 1 CONC was staying with us, that summer, and just before she came to us I had a 1 CONC chill. The forerunner of the disease, and tho it was light, mother was 1 CONC worried for fear I would be worse. 0 @NI0380@ NOTE 1 CONC I was out playing one day and began to feel really ill and went to mother 1 CONC and told her I was getting another chill. 1 CONT She showed me to Grand Mother and after taking one look at me, told she 1 CONC wanted me to run nine times around the house, as fast as I could; I ran 1 CONC until my toung was sticking out, then Grand Mother wrapped a wool blanket 1 CONC around me and rolled me into bed, boots and all, and made me stay there 1 CONC until I almost sweat the bed through. Then she gave me a big drink of 1 CONC her homemade remedy and told mother not to worry, I would be all right in 1 CONC a few days, and I never had another chill. But I remember thinking that 1 CONC I hoped Grand Mother was not my nurse, if I ever did.
