Some ancestors & descendants of William Thornton, immigrant to VA, circa 1646. Including ancestors for several branches of that family including Taliaferro, Savage, Smith, Catlett, FitzHugh, Dade, Washington, and descendant surnames including Conway, Taylor, Lewis, Taliaferro, Meriwether, Madison, and quite a few others. The file also contains many families associated with a Thornton surname, but who I was not able to connect to the main tree. These surnames are prefaced by a "z" in the index, for example; "zThornton". This is an ongoing project, and any corrections or new information will be appreciated.
