My great-grandmother was Minnie Elizabeth CASE. Her CASE ancestry came from the Mormons across from Ohio, to Nauvoo, to Salt Lake City, and to San Bernardino. Her grandfather was Gasham C. CASE who was a prominent wagon captain between SLC and San Bernardino. Their ancestry went back to possibly a German immigrant of the 1700s.
James CASE was one of the very first settlers into Salt Lake City. You will find his name on the Brigham Young Memorial in the middle of the streets between Temple Square and the Hotel Utah (Joseph Smith Memorial Building) at Salt Lake City. His ancestry went back to English CASE immigrants of the 1600s.
I collected info on James CASE for a long time, thinking that he would turn out to be an uncle or something of Gasham CASE. Now it appears that they are not related, though Gasham's ancestry still can go further back.
This GEDCOM is to share the James CASE information as it probably does not really relate to me anymore. But, I also included the Gasham CASE people so that anybody with a CASE connection will be interested, and perhaps you might be able to add some information to that line too. Contact me if you do have any CASE connection (or any of the other surnames in this GEDCOM). My address is in the GEDCOM file itself, or you can send me e-mail to ask for it: "TrimbleSTS".
