- Moved to Camp Curtin at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, 6 Oct 1862.
- Transferred to Washington D.C., 12 Oct 1862.
- Attached to the 1st Brigade, 1st Division, 11th Army Corps, Army of the Potomac.
SERVICE:
- Duty in the Defences of Washington D.C. until Dec 1862.
- Reconnoissance from Chantilly to Snicker’s Ferry and Berryville VA, 28-30 Nov.
- March to Fredericksburg, Virginia 9-16 Dec.
- Duty at Stafford Court House until 19 Jan 1863.
- Participated in Burnsides’s 2nd Campaign, “The Mud March,” 20-24 Jan 1863
- Back to Stafford Court House until 27 April 1863.
- Chancellorsville Campaign 27 Apr - 6 May 1863.
- Battle of Chancellorsville 1-5 May.
- Gettysburg Campaign 11 Jun - 24 Jul 1863.
- Battle of Gettysburg 1-3 July.
- Pursuit of Lee 5-12 Jul.
- Mustered Out 24 Jul 1863.
153rd Pennsylvania Infantry Regimental Summary:
The Regiment, during it's existence, lost during service:
1 Officer and 48 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded
28 Enlisted men by disease.
