Factory and commission by Duncan Campbell of Kilduskland, who is about to leave the kingdom for Cape Fair in America, to Dugald McTavish, younger, of Dunardary, to manage for him in his absence; dated at Ardmeanish in Gigha 28th June 1739."
"27 July 1739. Bond and Assignation by Duncan Campbell of Kilduskland to Colin Campbell in Brenfeorline, his uncle, and Elizabeth Campbell, his spouse, that he will pay to the former 200 merks yearly during their lifetimes as annuities, and with whom as cautioners are Daniel Campbell of Cardaig and Dugald McTavish, younger, of Dundardary; and this to be in full of all other obligations in the contract of £1000 sterling due by Archibald Campbell of Barnacarry of this date, to whom intimation hereof was duly made. The bond is dated at Brachley Lochgilp 27th March 1739; witnesses, Archibald Campbell of Barnacarry; Archibald Campbell of Dannay; sheriff clerk of Argyle; Patrick Campbell, his servitor; and James Campbell of Rudill."
