Will of Thomas Finson, dated September, 1644 Whereas Thomas ffinson mariner late of Dartmouth Dyed abord the Shipp Gilbert in September last, Oades Bayle being present, the said Thomas ffinson by word of mouth declared this to be his last will & testament. To son Samuel fyve pounds of English money; to his child that his wife went withall fifty shillings; to wife one Hogshead of Tobacco; to his father in lawe Andrew Harwood all his wages. The fifty shillings for the Child & the Tobacco to be delivered to Andrew Harwood for the vse aforesaid.
