Samuel Holly.

Because it is appointed for all men once to dye, & the dayes of men in this world are but like a shadowe yt soone departeth. Therefore, I Samuell Holly doe make this my last will.
Effects to my loving wife, except Tenn acres of land to my sonne according to a former writing, and the remaining part of the inclosed lott to goe to my soone & his heirs; to goe after ye decease of my wife, but she to haue ye vse & possession thereof, during her life. To my soone one blue stuffe Sutte of apparall, whom I doe make my sole Executr. This 22th of October, 1643.

SAMUEL HOLLY.--An abstract of the will of Samuel Holly is printed in the Register, ii, 385, from the Record, page 30. He gives to his son one * "Blacke Stuffe suit," instead of blue, as mentioned in the REGISTER. Samuel Hollye makes his mark, and the name of Renold bvsh, between the names of John Jackson and Edward Jackson, is given as witness to the original will. From the inventory we learn that he died "in ye bounds of Cambridge." On the back of the instrument are the names of Frances Gould, Will Almey, David Williams, Jo. Barcher. (File No. 26)
