36th Illinois Regiment - 6 Killed 32 Wounded

Many accounts have been written of the Battle of Pea Ridge but few accounts have been written of the Federal casualties at Pea Ridge, 1,351 total.

The 36th participated in a three days of battle. Col Greusel wrote: The 3rd Iowa, 1st Missouri Cavalry, and the Benton Huzzars had charged the enemy and while the 12th Missouri was forming, the cavalry started a retreat. While the retreat started the 36th held with the 12th Missouri and stopped the riot.

Company G- Killed: Thomas Olson ; Wounded: Sgt J.A. Dispenner, William M Stitt,David Bardwell, Alexander Stitt, Edward Lyon, Thomas Malcum, Dison Clark, Lewis Jones, Charles Pratt, Seth Slyter, Franklin Small, John Corkins.

Company H- Killed: Oren Pickett, Cornelius Kimplin; Wounded; Charles E. Owles, Alvin Bunker, Jackson Conroe

Company I- Killed; None, Wounded; Fredrick Witzkie, Michael Manning

Company K- Killed; None Wounded: Samuel McCartney, Benjamin Simmons, Jessie McCrarey, Henry Holmes, Francis Simpson, Edward Mayberry
